Chatham Shark Center “Sharkfest” 2014

A Chatham Shark Center is in the works!  Targeted to open in the Fall of 2014, the Chatham Shark Center will be a world-class exhibit that excites, educates, and inspires people about one of the ocean’s most powerful creatures: the great white shark. As Chatham quickly develops into the epicenter of great white shark observation in North America, this new center will provide a place for visitors, students, and researchers alike to share ideas. It will provide visitors with an in-depth look at one of the ocean’s most magnificent and misunderstood inhabitants. From a virtual shark cage, to videos and displays, to a real time shark tracker, the center will have plenty of ways to learn about Chatham’s newest summer residents.
